Cultivar Variety: Biancolilla

Production area: South-Western Sicily

Cold extraction method, within 6-12 hours at a temperature below 27 degrees centigrade, with a two-phase continuous cycle system.

Galbasa oil is a certified extra virgin obtained according to the most rigorous organic farming regulations certified by ICEA.

Oil with light-medium fruitiness, yellow in colour with greenish reflections, delicate flavour with a balanced taste; between spicy and bitter, recalling hints of tomato, almond, fresh grass and wild herbs typical of the Biancolilla cultivar.

The result is a great oil that pairs well with both raw and cooked fish, vegetables, soups and salads.

Our history

In the early years of the twentieth century, Don Antonino Musso, the founder of the family who emigrated to the USA, hoped one day to return to live and work in his own land.

Production

To complete our work, the quality of production is subjected to strict controls by organic certification bodies, both in the field and on the final product: we carry out multi-residue chemical analysis, where they are controlled, thanks to intensive tests, (over 400 parameters) which certify the total absence of prohibited products.
